Machteld  D’Hollander (°1982) graduated as an architect (Master in urban architectural design) in 2012. After a short period of internship at De Vylder Vinck Taillieu she started collaborating with a former colleague, Caroline Lambrechts, as an independent architect.

Her master thesis in psychology dealt with social psychology, more specifically it focused on the relation between collective trauma and group identity.

Recently  she felt the need to connect  her psychological background with her experience as an architect. She is working on a research proposal dealing with public space and democracy, focusing on the multiplicity of identities of places.

This research will be supervised by Prof Dr. Kris Scheerlinck and Dr. Erik Van Daele.
