The research group Urban Projects, Collective Spaces and local identities invites you to the webinar \u201cCo-producing inclusive public spaces in barrios populares<\/em><\/strong><\/span>\u201d<\/strong> (sessions 1,2 and 4 to be held in Spanish and session 3 in English) which will take place on<\/span> Oct. 19th, 20th, 26th, and 27th.

The event is part of the activities of the project SURLab<\/strong> (A VLIR-UOS South Initiative Project 2020-2022 that brings together academics, students, inhabitants, and local actors through a combination of seminars, workshops, and parallel academic courses, etc\u2026).<\/p>\n

This project by prof. Yves Schoonjans & drs. Xavier Mendez of the research group \u2018Urban Projects, Collective Spaces & Local Identities\u2019 & prof. Hans Leinfelder the research group \u2018P.PUL\u2019 is in full collaboration with the Institute for Research and Innovation in Habitat, Design and Construction (IHADIC, prof. Chunga & prof. Pozo), Universidad Cat\u00f3lica Santiago de Guayaquil & the Sustainable Cities Research Group (LlactaLAB, prof. Hermida), Universidad de Cuenca, Ecuador. They will work together with inhabitants, local government, neighborhoods\u2019 associations and NGO\u00b4s.<\/p>\n

This is linked to the PhD project by Xavier Mendez, Transforming Collective Spaces: Insight on the relation between spatial interventions in collective spaces and social dynamics for resilience in informal settlements (KU Leuven)<\/p>\n
