-APPLICATION DEADLINE EXTENDED: 25.03.2025-
May 29 & April 5, 2025
In collaboration with the University of Prishtina, KU Leuven is organizing a two-day workshop on the three-step ‘Interactive Walking’ methodology, which maps the significance of the building of the former ‘Rilindja’ printing house. University of Prishtina’s Master students from the Faculty of Architecture and Bachelor students from the Department of Anthropology will be trained to conduct fieldwork using this methodology, tracing the spatial memories of built heritage. By gathering on-site information in collaboration with the local community, students will combine various representational mediums as knowledge-supporting objects, including drawings, models, and other forms, into ‘objects of speech’. The final results will be showcased in an exhibition, providing a platform for dialogue with the community.
The workshop will be led by Njomëza Mulhaxha as part of her PhD research ‘The Role of Community Heritage in the Process of Post-conflict Recovery’, at the Faculty of Architecture, KU Leuven (Belgium), supervised by Gisèle Gantois (Urban Projects,Collective Spaces and Local Identities) & Peter Vermeersch (LINES).
